All
kindergarten classrooms will be attending a field trip to Upland Hills Farm
on Friday, October 11th. We will be leaving Stadium Drive
Elementary in the morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. and returning to school
at approximately 2:00 p.m. All students will ride the bus to and from the
farm on this day. We will be attending this field trip rain or shine, so
please send your child to school dressed accordingly for the weather! The cost to attend this trip is $11.25. While we are at the farm, we
are sure to have a ton of fun! We will be attending the farm show where we
learn about different farm animals and even help to make homemade butter. We
will also go on a walk through the Storybook trail, explore the barns at the
farm, and pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to take home! All
students will eat lunch at the farm, so a completely disposable, sack lunch
is required. No lunchboxes, thermos, or plastic food containers,
please! We have space to bring 10
chaperones per classroom with us to the farm. Chaperones are required to ride
the bus both ways with students and chaperones will be in direct supervision
of a small group (2-3 students) while on the bus and at the farm. Chaperones
will be selected on a lottery basis. You will be contacted by your child’s
teacher during the week of September 30th to let you know if you
have been selected to attend as a chaperone. If you were not selected to
attend as a chaperone, you may choose to provide your own transportation and
meet us at the farm on that day and join your child’s small group. You will
need to pay your own admission upon arrival. If you are interested in
chaperoning this field trip, please indicate your interest when signing your
child up to attend. If you are selected to be a chaperone, a separate note
will be sent to you at a later date asking for payment. Please do not pay for
a chaperone when indicating your interest. We look forward to a fun,
adventurous day! |
