3^rd grade - 8^th grade

First Session is Oct 19th

Dakota Basketball staff and players are interested in our youth’s development as basketball players.  For 2 hours every weekend the Dakota basketball staff and the Dakota Basketball players will work with young boys and girls 3^rd-8^th grade interested in training and developing their games. The boys and girls will be divided up based on skill level and grade level. The first 60 minutes will be a practice dedicated to skill training and drills essential for a youth basketball player’s development. Training sessions and basketball skill drills will be followed by 60 minutes of games/competition and introduction/instruction of rules. Games will be coached by Dakota Basketball staff/players/volunteer parents. All games will be refereed by MHSAA officials and youth players will wear reversible jerseys and play with leather basketballs.  All sessions will be held at the Dakota’s Main/aux gym or in the Dakota’s 9^th grade center gym on Saturdays.

Each participant will receive a reversible Dakota Basketball Jersey and a free ticket to 2019-20 Pistons home game (BOGO offer).  Registration fee includes 8 sessions of training, developing skills and competitive games in the Dakota H.S. gyms.

Training Dates are October 19th, October 26th, November 2nd, November 9th, November 16th, November 30th, December 7th, December 14th

Our mission is develop youth basketball players in our community and teach them the correct way to play the game of basketball. Along the way, we also hope that the kids will have fun and learn how to compete.
