Parking Permit Cost- $20.00
POLICIES CONCERNING STUDENTS DRIVING VEHICLES - Students who drive to school must register their cars with the high school office. A copy of student driving regulations will be given to the student at the time he/she registers his/her car. Students must adhere to school safe driving and parking regulations. Once on school property, students must park in a designated student area, leave their car, and enter school. No car is to be entered or moved during the school day unless permission is granted from the office. Speeding and careless driving is forbidden. Students’ driving privileges to school can be revoked for any violation of these rules. A $20.00 registration fee is required. Students and Parent/Guardian must consent to drug testing policy in order to obtain a parking permit.
2026-2027 Driving/Parking Regulations
Student must have a registration card filed with office.
Student Drivers will be included in the random drug testing protocols for New London Local Schools.
Student must park in assigned parking space. If space is occupied by another person’s car, student should park at the end of row and report the unauthorized parked vehicle to office.
No car is to be entered or moved during the school day.
Student is aware that if he/she violates driving/parking regulations that he/she may lose the privilege of driving/parking on school property.
Violations included but not limited to:
Parked in wrong spot
Vehicle not registered
Parking permit not displayed
Leaving parking lot before buses
Illegal passing
Not stopping at stop signs
Excessive speed or careless driving
Horseplay
No student shall ride in the bed of another student’s truck on school property
Other situations that may be determined to be dangerous to student’s well-being and safety.
Progressive discipline plan: (Recommended course
of action but if incident is deemed extremely unusual or dangerous, the
principal reserves the right to skip proscribed steps.)
1st offense: Written Warning
2nd offense: Two (2) week suspension of driving/parking privileges.
3rd offense: Driving/parking privileges revoked for remainder of semester and/or school year.
