MASON HIGH SCHOOL'S "SPEAK WEEK"

SPEECH AND DEBATE CAMP

MHS Speak Week is a half-day camp which takes place from July 20th through July 24th. The camp is run entirely by members of the MHS Speech & Debate Team, and all fees go towards funding the team's competitive season. 

Camp is held at Mason High School, 6100 Mason-Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH 45040

The camp is open to all incoming students in grades 5-9 for the 2026-2027 school year. All experience levels are welcome. Camp participants will receive highly-effective training by experienced MHS Speech & Debate Team varsity members under the guidance of the team's coaching staff. The camp curriculum will focus on a variety of events from three disciplines: Public Speaking, Debate, and Interpretation. (All event guidelines will follow the criteria set forth by the Ohio Speech & Debate Association and the National Speech & Debate Association.) Students are encouraged to bring their own personal device every day. (A limited amount of Chromebooks will be available daily at camp as well.)

The camp will be holding a morning or an afternoon session for all available grade levels. 

Participants should select a preferred session:

Morning AM Session is 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM (please arrive to the main entrance at 8:15 AM each day & check in at the table in the lobby)

Afternoon PM Session is 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM (please arrive to the main entrance at 11:45 AM each day & check in at the table in the lobby)
