FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) , Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), and Manicuring !

This program is designed for those whose native language is not English, but understand a moderate amount of English. Students will be given the tools to improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Mandatory Entrance Exam

Students must register for the entrance test online or by calling 732-431-7245 Press 0. These classes will be offered in two parts and take place at the Neptune Annex. No charge for books, supplies, or certification tests. A mandatory 40 hours of online  ESL instruction is required for all students! 

Entrance Test Date Choices: August  27 September 9,11, 15, 17, 21   Test time is from 10am-12:30, You must bring your ID and SS number to register as per DOL Grant Regulations! 

Mandatory Part One: ESL Class ONLINE (Students must have a computer with camera and audio) 10am-12:30pm  October 6, 2026 - December 2026 

Successful completion of the ESL class will allow the student to register for Part Two of their chosen course:

 Manicuring and Nail Technology

This 300-hour course is offered to high school graduates and meets the requirements for licensing examination given by he State Board of Hairstyling and Cosmetology. T Wednesdays & Thursdays (300-hour course) 4:30 pm-8:30 pm Neptune Annex October 7, 2026 - April 29, 2027

Certified Nurse Aide Class (CNA)

Upon successful completion of the 90-hour course (50 hours classroom and 40 hours clinical), students will be eligible to take the New Jersey State Nurse Aide in Long-Term Care Facility Exam.   to the New Jersey Department of Health, CNA candidates do not need a high school diploma to become licensed, however, a prerequisite for certification is passing criminal background check and other documentation as noted on theNJ Department of Health website.  Admission requirements students are responsible for : complete physical examination including flu/Covid-19 vaccine, background check, purchase uniform.   Tuesdays & Thursdays (90-hour course) 9:00 am-2:00 pm • Neptune Annex January 2027 - June 2027 •

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant  (CCMA)

Medical assistants (MAs) are critical members of healthcare teams in a variety of medical settings. Students must have a GED or High School diploma in order to take the NHA exam certification. September 14, 2026 – January 26, 2027 Mondays & Wednesdays (150 hours) 9:00 am-2:30 pm - Note you must remain enrolled in the ESL Part One class to be in this course.
