The Bloom-Carroll High School and Bloom-Carroll Middle School Multilingual students are excited to launch their plant sale fundraiser to help raise funds to accomplish Ohio's mission to support the whole child.
This hands-on, student-led project goes far beyond plants—it supports the whole child while strengthening all four domains of English Language Acquisition (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
Through this experience, our students will:
Learn & Explore
Understand the full plant life cycle
Explore plant anatomy and science vocabulary
Build Life Skills
Responsibility by caring for plants
Develop self-sufficiency and confidence
Experience the pride that comes from working toward a goal
Discover possible future hobbies or occupations
Care for Our World
Learn the importance of recycling
Understand how small actions help the environment
The Selling Process:
How to keep a book of sales
Communication skills when interacting with adults
The value of success and self-esteem
How to count and manage money
How to hold respectful conversations
The importance of building positive relationships
These experiences create memories and skills that students will carry with them for a lifetime.
Thank you for supporting growth—both in our garden and in our students.
P.S. Please remember: this is the students’ “imperfect” work—and that is exactly what makes it so meaningful.
