Paramus Summer Program

Grades K-5 (2025-2026 School Year)

July 6-July 31, 9am-12pm

Pick 2 courses (1.5 hours each) and 2 or more alternates. Courses will run based on enrollment.

Brain Builders: Skills to Increase Executive Function

Students strengthen essential executive function skills—organization, planning, attention, flexibility, and working memory—through hands-on challenges, games, and team activities. This course helps students build routines and strategies that support success in and out of the classroom. 


Study Smart! Strategies for Test Success

Students learn practical tools for studying, note-taking, problem-solving, and test-taking in a fun, supportive setting. Through activities, games, and guided practice, learners build confidence and discover what strategies work best for them.


Unplugged Adventures: Games, Creativity and Play

A high-energy class where students rediscover the joy of screen-free fun! From classic board games and card challenges to team-building activities and creative problem-solving stations, students learn how to play collaboratively, think strategically, and have fun!


Brain Explorers: Challenge Across the Curriculum

Students engage in stimulating, multi-disciplinary challenges designed to stretch thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This course weaves together math, reading, and critical thinking through inquiry-based activities. Perfect for curious learners who love to explore, question, and tackle complex problems across all subject areas.


International Cuisine: A Reading, Math & Culture Kitchen Adventure

Grab your passport and your apron—it’s time to travel the world through food! In this flavorful elective, students will “visit” a new country each week, reading short stories or folktales from that culture, exploring themed recipes, and practicing measurement, sequencing, and math through hands-on cooking activities. Along the way, they’ll learn about world traditions, ingredients, and kitchen tools, while building reading comprehension, math fluency, and social connection—all without leaving the classroom!


Sports & Games Academy: Play, Compete, Connect!

In this high-energy class, students will participate in a variety of sports, games, and physical challenges that help build athletic skills while also strengthening important social skills. Whether it’s soccer, relay races, or cooperative team-building activities, students will learn how to work together, communicate effectively, and support their peers in a fun, inclusive environment. Through friendly competition and collaboration, students will develop social skills, sportsmanship, empathy, and problem-solving skills—while building confidence in their physical abilities.


Core Reading

A targeted literacy program designed to support and strengthen foundational reading skills for all learners. Through small group instruction, engaging texts, and multisensory activities, students will receive guided practice in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension.


Core Math

This program is designed to reinforce and strengthen essential math skills for all learners. Through hands-on activities, games, and small group instruction, students will build a strong foundation in number sense, computation and problem solving.


Core Writing

A targeted writing program designed to support and strengthen foundational writing skills for all learners. Through small group instruction, model texts, and interactive writing activities, students will receive guided practice in sentence construction, grammar and mechanics, idea development, organization, and writing stamina. Instruction focuses on helping students express their thoughts clearly and confidently across a variety of writing tasks.
