Welcome to the 2026 Dakota Marching Band Season! Joins us for an exiting year of music, teamwork and performance. This registration is for all students interested in participating in the 2026 Dakota Marching Band, including returning members and new recruits.

The Dakota marching band is open to all students entering grades 8-12. Members will perform at football games, parades, competitions, and community events throughout the season. Our program focuses on musical excellence, developing leadership and fostering school spirit.

Join us for an informational meeting on March 2, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the Dakota Auditorium.

Key Dates:

• Informational Meeting:  March 2, 2026 @ 7:00 PM
• Registration Closes: May 1, 2026
• Pre Camp: July 20 - 24, 2026
• Band Camp: August 3 - 7, 2026

Venue: 

All rehearsals and band camp will be held at the Dakota high school band room and practice field. Performances take place at various school and community venues - see the full schedule on the band website.

Special Directions:

• Please complete all registration forms and submit payment upon registration
• Medical and emergency contact forms are required for all participants
• Students must attend band camp to participate in the 2026 season
• Bring instruments, water bottles, sunscreen and athletic shoes to all outdoor practices
