Hello BLRA 5th Grade Families!
We’re thrilled to invite our 5th graders to the second annual day-long retreat at Ponderosa Retreat Center! This fun, character-building event will take place on August 20, 2025, at 15235 S. Furrow Road, Larkspur, CO 80118.
Trip Details Date: Wednesday, August 20, 2025 Departure: Arrive at school by 8:00 AM (regular start time). We’ll board buses from BLRA at 9:00 AM. Return: Back at BLRA between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM. We’ll send a text/email if timing changes. What to Do Now Complete the Recreation Release Waiver Linked above and paper copies are available at the school. Please turn this in to your HOMEROOM teacher by August 15th. Students will not be able to participate in the activities if this is not turned in. Review and Pack Packing List Water bottle: Older Nalgene Tennis shoes (for outdoor games) and athletic wear. No uniforms! Dress for the weather. Bring a small bag with a Sack lunch (nut-free) and multiple snacks. It is a long day and students will be exerting energy throughout the day. Go Over the Behavior Agreement We expect students to LEAD (Live safely, Engage with Respect, Act with Kindness, Demonstrate Responsibility. If a student is not in compliance with the behavior agreement, parents/guardians will be asked to pick the student up during the day.
