Music in the Parks Trip to Hershey Park
May 31, 2024 - all day (7:30AM to 10PM)
Payment is due by Friday April 5th.
If cash or check payment is preferred, please return cash or check payment to your child's music ensemble director.

Trip Payment -- Select ONE of the four ticket bundles:
1. Trip Fee ONLY ($130)
**This is the option to choose if your child already owns a FMS Music Department Hershey Park shirt. It is the same shirt as previous years and can be worn again this year. If your child does not own this shirt, please select the Trip Fee + Shirt bundle.
2. Trip Fee + Shirt ($140)
3. Trip Fee + Shirt + Chaperone ($205)
4. Trip Fee + Chaperone ($195)
Trip Details:
The Fugett Music Department participate in a Music in the Parks adjudicated festival on Friday May 31, 2024 at Hershey Park. This is an opportunity for members of the Chorale, Orchestra, & 7/8 Band to perform for a panel of judges, spend time at Hershey Park, and participate in an awards ceremony at the end of the day’s activities.
This is an all-day event. Students leave by coach bus for Hershey at approximately 7:30am on the morning of May 31. The ensembles perform at a location near the park and then students are bused to the park, where they spend the rest of the day enjoying the rides and park amenities. We learn the results of our adjudicated performances at an awards ceremony held in the Hershey Arena. We expect to return home by approximately 10pm.
A trip fee of $130 per student covers the cost of bus transportation, adjudication, & all-day admission to Hershey Park (meals not included).
Students all must wear a FMS Music Department Hershey Park shirt. It is our trip's uniform. Shirts are $10. If your child attended in previous years, it is the same shirt and can be worn again this year.
PLEASE NOTE: Trip fees are NOT refundable. Students who pay for the trip and do not attend will receive a Hershey Park admission ticket, which is valid for the whole park season.
We hope to have 100% participation in this special event. A performing ensemble comprises all its members; we will not be well–represented if several students elect not to participate. If you have a financial situation that precludes your child from attending, please contact your child’s music ensemble director as soon as possible to arrange assistance or an alternative payment schedule.
