SDE - 2nd Grade Field Trip to Sloan/Longway

Why: To reinforce the Lake Orion Social Studies & Science curriculum on community, understanding matter and the scientific process.

What to expect: The Sloan Museum takes the students through the importance of transportation, location, communication and infrastructure to build a city. Each team will discuss, plan and build a model city. At the Longway Planetarium students will make a delicious product after combining 3 states of matter.

If you are in need of financial assistance, please reach out to your student’s teacher. 

Other important Information: If you are interested in chaperoning, you must complete the iChat form and contact your child’s teacher. If more than 6 parents volunteer, we will pull names at random. You will be notified by Friday, October 13 if you are chosen to chaperone this field trip.
