This year, The Algonquin Instrumental Music Program is hosting a lock-in during the month of May. This annual event is a fun night out for our band students filled with activities and a chance to hang out with their friends at school. The lock-in also functions as our primary fundraiser during the school year. Revenue generated from the band lock-in helps to supplement the band program through hiring guest clinicians to work with our students, making equipment purchases, etc.

We plan to have the following activities available (more activities may be added):

•  Open gym
•  Dodgeball tournament
•  Giant “Lawn” Games (Corn Hole, Connect 4, etc)
•  Pizza dinner
•  Video games
•  Movie room with popcorn
•  Ping Pong

The Lock-In will take place on Friday, May 19th from 6:00-9:00 pm. The cost is $25 per student (only band students allowed). The following rules apply:

•  All school rules apply throughout the event
•  The $25 admission fee must be paid through PaySchools Events
•  All forms must be filled out/signed by students and parents
•  Students must always remain in the event areas
•  ABSOLUTELY NO possession of any forms of drugs/alcohol/tobacco
•  Proper school dress code must be observed
•  Non-band students are not allowed

 If any of the above rules are broken, your parents will be called, and you will be asked to leave.
