Dear Play Patron,
Perkins High School Drama Club is proud to present our 2021 Fall Play Production,
Little Women adapted by Kevin M. Cunningham from the novel by Louisa May Alcott.
Our performances will be on November 18th and 19th at 7:00 p.m.
The compelling and heartwarming tale of Little Women follows the trials and tribulations
of the March family as they navigate life in this coming-of-age story. The four March
sisters, accompanied by friends and family, work to overcome the devastations of war,
hardship, and death. The story begins during the holiday season, the first Christmas away
from their father. The girls pledge to become better people and they soon meet their wealthy
neighbor, Theodore “Laurie" Laurence (Brett Phenicie). The beloved protagonist, Jo
(Alison Risk), works to soften her tomboyishness while aspiring to be a writer, just like
Louisa Alcott (Jordyn Risk) herself. Meg (Isabel Roberts), the oldest daughter, struggles to
set aside her desire for an upscale married life while her egocentric younger sister Amy
(Madalyn Thayer), grapples with her own desire for wealth. The youngest sister Beth
(Chloe Carr) works to overcome her debilitating shyness. Complications ensue when others
such as a handsome tutor John Brooke (Franklin Whipple), their meddling Aunt March
(Brooke McClusky), and a German professor (Brodie Bibler) upend their lives. As these
girls face trials and tribulations, will the changes they endure shape them for better or worse?
Come join us for an evening of entertainment!
Thank You,
